Federal Perjury: Black Lies Vs. White Lies

The U.S. Congress, media, and Major League Baseball are off again on a witch-hunt to tear down the reputation of San Francisco Giant's slugger Barry Bonds for steroid use. Because of his spicy and militant attitude, Bonds has been identified in the national media as the second coming of Black boxing great, Jack Johnson. They are collectively alleging that Bonds lied under oath (perjury) to a federal grand jury that was investigating Balco Corp. in this firm's providing steroids and other performance enhancing drugs to professional athletes. Bonds testified that he never knowingly used steroids. This isn't good enough for the media who has a 400 year history of destroying the reputation of Blacks. A new federal grand jury is being convened to determine if Bonds lied under oath, and if he did, he will get up to six years in prison.
Black NBA star, Chris Webber, of the Philadelphia 76'ers, found out the hard way about his perjured statements made to a federal grand jury while under oath. Both he and his father lied to the same grand jury about the fact Chris got illegal financial perks from a University of Michigan booster while he was a student-athlete at the school. Chris was fined $100K and sentenced to two years probation for lying to this grand jury. Rapper "Lil" Kim is also serving a one year sentence in federal prison for lying to a federal grand jury.
Closer to home, Black Denver U.S. Marshal, Benny Bailey, was sentenced to 6 years in federal prison for lying under oath. Bailey was busted for the old Clinton sin of having consensual sex, and then lying about it. Bailey had sex with a white female alternate juror (Tim McVeigh trial-OK City bombing) and the woman's husband ratted on him to USAG John "Disco" Ashcroft. Ashcroft directed Bailey's superiors to question Bailey about the affair under oath and he lied. Clinton got $8 million in a book deal. The Bailey family is cash-strapped because Bailey also lost his federal retirement pension for 26 years of honorable service. The disparity Blacks are subjected to in criminal punishment is further highlighted by white TV actor Tim Allen (Home Improvement). Allen was sentenced to 18 months in prison for trafficking in cocaine. Thousands of Black men are serving 30 to 35 year prison sentences for the same infraction.
President Bush has yet to fully account and reconcile the major discrepancies in his military service, as to whether he legally got his military discharge. There are gaping chronological holes in his military records, and if he got an illegal discharge, then he is a 40 years AWOLee/deserter in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and Manual of Court Martial. This issue should be investigated by the U.S. Congress and not CBS/Dan Rather. The congress is paid and elected to investigate Bush for the rule of law and spirit and intent of our laws, not Bonds. If Bonds is using steroids, the only person he is causing physical harm to is himself and emotional harm to his family. Bush should come clean and show his cards. If he would submit his military days drilled pay records, perennial two weeks active duty training records, and perennial IRS tax returns, this issue would be resolved. If it is found Bush didn't complete his obligated military service, then he is guilty of making perjured (history of UCMJ felonious acts) statements to the Texas Election Commission, Federal Election Commission, and DOD/FBI/CIA/Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in his requests for national security clearances. Bush should pardon Bailey ASAP with retroactive full pay and benefits.
I must admit I'm fascinated about the indictment of the two Duke lacrosse players, where they allegedly raped a Black woman. We are all innocent until proven guilty. Forty-seven years ago, I witnessed a rape allegation made by a drunken white woman, that seven Black boys raped her in my hometown of Asheville, NC. These boys were from our most prominent Black families and community leaders. They were lucky they avoided the old traditional "necktie" party from a white mob that was bent on revenge, despite the fact there was no evidence to prove they raped this drunk. The seven boys were sentenced in a nullified court to 30 to 35 years in prison. Despite this miscarriage of justice, our community was dealt another blow, when one of the boy’s parents was killed in an auto accident on a trip to visit him in prison. 
At the end of the day, the Blue Devils will walk.

What Really Happened On 9/11?

Has the U.S. government been telling you the truth about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks? Don Paul and Jim Hoffman’s book, Waking up from Our Nightmare, demonstrates that the twin towers and Building 7 of the World Trade Center could only have collapsed at free-fall speed into their own footprints through controlled demolition. First responders reported multiple explosions in the towers on 9/11. No steel-framed skyscraper has ever collapsed due to fire. For months after the twin towers were destroyed, molten steel was recovered from their basement levels. Hydrocarbon fires don’t burn hot enough to melt steel.
Building 7, a 47-story steel-framed skyscraper, collapsed in the exact manner of a controlled demolition, although no airplane hit it and it had only two small fires. WTC leaseholder Larry Silverstein, who received a $3.6 billion insurance settlement, admitted to PBS that he asked the fire department to "pull" the building on 9/11. "Pull" is an industry term for controlled demolition, which takes weeks to set up.
Physical evidence from the 9/11 crime scenes was systematically destroyed. Debris from the WTC was illegally shipped to China under armed guard.
The 9/11 Commission was created under pressure from victims’ families after President Bush blocked a Congressional inquiry for 441 days. Bush initially appointed war criminal Henry Kissinger to chair the commission. Max Cleland, the only commission member without serious conflicts of interest, resigned and called for a real investigation. David Ray Griffin’s expose, The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, shows that the commission ignored most questions raised by victims’ families and excluded every fact that contradicted the government's story.

Why did the FBI obstruct its own top terrorism investigator, John O’Neill?
Why did the head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency have $100,000 wired to "lead hijacker" Mohammed Atta shortly before 9/11? Why did General Ahmad meet with the CIA Director, Secretary of Defense, and other top national security officials in the week before 9/11?
Why were war games scheduled for 9/11, simulating hijacked airplanes entering New York airspace?
When contact is lost with planes, fighter jets are routinely scrambled to intercept them within 20 minutes. Why were three hijacked airplanes allowed to strike their targets when NORAD had ample time to intercept them?
The Pentagon had the world’s most advanced anti-missile defenses. Why wasn’t it protected?
Military commanders were promoted after 9/11. Why wasn’t anyone reprimanded or court-martialed for incompetence?
Why did President Bush say that he saw a television broadcast of the first plane crash before that film footage was discovered?
Who really perpetrated the 9/11 attacks? The Bush and bin Laden families have extensive business connections.The CIA recruited Osama bin Laden and created the Taliban and al-Qaeda to secure Afghanistan for a proposed UNOCAL oil pipeline. The man in the 9/11 "confession tape" had different facial features than bin Laden, wrote with the wrong hand, and wore gold jewelry prohibited by Islam. In an interview with Pakistan’s Ummat newspaper, bin Laden denied his involvement in 9/11.
BBC reported that several of the 19 alleged hijackers were still alive after 9/11. No airport video or other credible evidence placed any of them aboard the flights. None of the alleged hijackers were good pilots, and none had flown jets. Hani Hajour probably couldn’t pilot a Boeing 757 through a spiral dive, losing 7,000 feet and turning 270 degrees in 2.5 minutes, but a flight computer can, using anti-hijacking remote piloting technology developed in the 1970s. Flight 77 crashed into the only section of the Pentagon that was under construction, minimizing military casualties.
There were advance warnings of terrorist attacks from at least 15 U.S. allies and multiple FBI investigations.
Unidentified inside traders made millions of dollars with record "put options" on United and American Airlines stocks just before 9/11.
Debris patterns, eyewitness accounts, and flight recorder data indicate that Flight 93 was shot down.
U.S. conquests of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and other nations were planned long before 9/11. Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and other future high-ranking Bush Administration officials signed the Project for a New American Century’s September, 2000 report, "Rebuilding America’s Defenses." It suggested that "some catastrophic and cataclysmic event – like a new Pearl Harbor" would facilitate their agenda of a massive military buildup and "regime change" in nations hostile to U.S. interests. On 9/11, President Bush wrote: "The Pearl Harbor of the 21st Century took place today."
There is no "war on terror." The United States has subverted dozens of foreign elections, financed death squads and dictatorships around the world and tried to overthrow more than 50 foreign governments since World War II.
The terrorists who hate our freedom destroyed the Bill of Rights within six weeks of 9/11 by passing the USA PATRIOT Act.
The U.S. government and corporate media have manipulated public outrage over 9/11 as a pretext for war profiteering, seizure of dwindling oil supplies, destruction of our civil liberties, expansion of the American empire, restoration of the heroin trade that the Taliban crushed, and preservation of the lucrative money laundering industry run by the world’s largest banks.
Was 9/11 an inside job, or did 19 religious fanatics armed with box cutters, led by a kidney dialysis patient hiding in a remote Afghanistan cave, outmaneuver the world’s most powerful -- most incompetent -- military and intelligence establishment?  As Voltaire wrote, "It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong."

Where Do Our Tax Dollars Go?

April 17th was Tax Day, and as I filed my federal tax return I remembered a quote from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who said on April 4, 1967, “A nation that continues year after year to spend more on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”  In 1967, Dr. King spoke about the Vietnam War.  In 2006, America is dealing with the Iraq War in which more than 2,300 U.S. soldiers and 30,000 Iraqis have died, and almost 17,000 U.S. soldiers have been wounded. 
From a tax fairness standpoint, this war and our continued military buildup, without regard for fiscal responsibility, shared sacrifice and diplomacy is not sustainable. To date, the Iraq War has cost the American taxpayer $316 Billion, and most of this sacrifice has been shouldered by middle-class and poor Americans through tax cuts that unfairly benefit the rich while increasing our deficit and our national debt. At the same time, conservative members of Congress seek to “reduce the deficit” through draconian cuts to essential public services that benefit the common good.
According to the National Priorities Project (www.nationalpriorities.org), the total cost of the Iraq War for Coloradans is $5 billion and counting. That same amount of money, invested in our people and communities, could have provided health care to 911,052 people, 716,231 Head Start places for children, 23,316 affordable housing units, 732 new elementary schools, 1,238,473 scholarships for college students, 102,116 public safety officers or 11,769,833 homes with renewable electricity. Think about this, and consider how it is in our national interest for the public to be informed if we are to change course.
